The teenager scored again, his second of the season, as Barça beat Betis

Barcelona's win over Real Betis was closed with a late goal from a player that was scoring in La Liga for the first time. Pedri, still 17, is showing, game by game, that he deserves the minutes coach Ronald Koeman is giving him.

Once again, with another 90 minutes under his belt, he showed his maturity and his intelligence with the ball at his feet. That's not normal for a kid of his age and a big future is expected. His hard work on the pitch was rewarded with a goal. It was his first in La Liga for the club. He beat Claudio Bravo from close range after connecting with a Sergi Roberto cross.

The Canary Islander scored his first Barça goal last month in the Champions League against Ferencvaros. With that goal, he became Barcelona's second player under 18 to score this season for Barça, after Ansu Fati, who's since turned 18.

Against Betis, there were more good moments from Pedri, including a magical backheel to set up Antoine Griezmann, although the Frenchman missed the chance. There was, on the flip side, also a first booking for his new club.

Koeman knows all about his qualities and has quickly got him involved with the first team. When he's on the pitch, Barça play better. The Betis game was his second minutes, after the Juventus Champions League fixture. A huge future awaits him.
