Paulinho dreams of winning the Champions League
The midfielder gave an interview to globoesporte ahead of the game against Roma
Paulinho, FC Barcelona's midfielder, gave an extensive interview to globoesporte.com, in which he spoke of the hope he has at winning the Champions League.
The 29 year old finally has a chance of European glory.
"I can't believe it. Each day I look at my team-mates and I try to take small details that I learn from them to improve," he said. "It's my first year at Barca, I'm learning a lot, I've played and had consistency in the side. Here everything is different for me. I don't know if I can evolve more but each day I observe and try to keep growing.
"At 29 I'm having one of the best phases of my life, one of the happiest moments of my life. Since I arrived I've been able to see how my team-mates position themselves, how they receive the ball, their vision of play in training and matches."
THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Paulinho knows Barcelona are favourites to progress against Roma. "They always say we are favourites, they will be two great games. We are not favourites but we want to take an important step forward in the Champions League.
"This is my first Champions League, something special for me, I always dreamed of playing and winning it and I watched it on television. When you play in it, it's totally different. We want to get to the final. It's our objective.
"I have the chance to win titles with Barcelona and with the Brazilian national team."
