Lincoln lost in Gibraltar at the weekend to leave Barça standing alone

Barcelona are the only top flight European team unbeaten in their domestic league this season. They had to fight hard to come back to draw 2-2 with Sevilla on Saturday, extending their run to 30 games without defeat in the current campaign (23 wins and seven draws).

And including the seven games at the end of last season, they're now on a 37 game unbeaten run in La Liga. The record is 38, achieved by Real Sociedad between 1979 and 1980.

It's been a while since the leaders of Europe's other top five leagues lost a game but there were other unbeaten teams in the smaller leagues. Until now. The modest Lincoln FC, who play in the Gibraltar league, were the only team resisting Barça's rhythm. But last weekend, they lost at home to Mons Calpe (1-3) after 15 wins and one draw in their domestic league.

As for the bigger leagues, it was Iker Casillas' Porto who kept up with Barça for the longest, eventually losing on March 11 at Ferreira (1-0).

In the case of Manchester City, they have lost just once in the Premier League; in Serie A, Juventus have lost two games, the same as Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1; and in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have been beaten three times.
