They marvelled at his fitness and explained how he got into good shape

Ousmane Dembele, FC Barcelona's French forward, is on the front page of L’Equipe on Tuesday. His progression with Barcelona is continuing with his national team, in these qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The French publication is impressed by Dembele’s fitness and say the key is his physique. They say he has a personal fitness team that works with him in Barcelona at his home and now it is reaping results.

They say the team is Salah Ghaidi (fitness coach), Jean Baptiste Duault (physiotherapist) and Anthony Audebaud (cook).

Ghaidi was a 400 and 800 metre athlete and now is a fitness specialist. They compare Dembele to “a Formula 1” car and say that the team are there to care for him and help him to “optimise his performance”. They say that he’s still not 100 per cent and that he’s “a war machine”.

Duault worked with French athletics and his mission is that Dembele can take on a higher workload and prevent risk of injury.

Anthony Audebaud, meanwhile, has worked in luxury restaurants and is in charge of controlling Dembele’s meals, using fresh and natural products. The menus, according to Audebaud, are constructed based on his biological analysis and his schedule.
