French press praise Barça's Dembele after fine Kazakhstan display

The Barça forward was back on target for his national team at the weekend

The French press haven't wasted any time in praising the form and fitness of Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele after his performance with the national team at the weekend.

"This is the Dembele that we want," said Le Parisien after he scored his third goal for his country in Sunday's World Cup qualifier win over Kazakhstan.

The reports added: "Finally decisive, it was the Dembele we lost. The author of the opening goal, it was a prominent performance for the 'Bleus.' He knew how to create problems on his wing thanks to his dribbling and he was effective where it mattered."

Elsewhere, L'Equipe dedicated a section of the front cover to the Barça man: "Beyond his goal, giving consistency to his recent performances, he showed the full repertoire of his qualities on Sunday."

It continued: "He was the author of a solid performance, one of his most complete for France since against England (3-2) in June of 2017."

France Football also praised Dembele for "marking the tone with his sublime control" and coach Didier Deschamps said "Dembele is on a good path. He's capable of making the difference and was compensated with a goal."
