The Senegal defender could yet be part of a deal for Rodrigo Moreno

Moussa Wague has still not left Barcelona because the club are waiting to see what happens with Valencia and forward Rodrigo Moreno.

The Senegal right-back has an offer from the French side Nice, but he could enter the deal for Rodrigo as Valencia are looking for a player in his position. They are currently playing Daniel Wass there. Wague would join them on loan, with Rodrigo coming the other way.

If he doesn't move to Mestalla, he will head off to Ligue 1 in France. Barça have loosely agreed on a transfer with an option to re-sign him in the future.

Wague is not in Quique Setien's plans, with Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo ahead of him. Under Ernesto Valverde, he played one league game and made two Champions League appearances this season.

The 20-year-old made his first-team debut against Huesca last April and was promoted from the B team last summer. He was involved at the 2018 World Cup with his country and joined Barça shortly after. His contract runs until 2023.
