Neymar will break his silence to help PSG and Barca negotiations
The Brazilian has been quiet so far because of the Copa America
Neymar’s return to Barcelona is moving quickly now. The club have seen a real chance of sealing a deal and have started moving for the player. They have been speaking with him for a while and sealed a pre-agreement for the next five seasons. The negotiation now is with PSG and that is more complicated.
At Camp Nou they want Neymar to make a public gesture to make a deal easier and Neymar is willing to do it, but not until next week.
When he does, Barcelona will use it to start their conversations with PSG. Neymar’s public comment may prove decisive.
The Brazilian told PSG that he didn’t want to return to Paris before his holiday and will do everything possible to play elsewhere.
Divorce between player and club is total and was seen in Nasser Al Khelaifi’s comments opening the door for him to go.
Neymar also made it clear that Barcelona is the only place he wants to play.
Barcelona want to pay a fixed amount of money for Neymar plus anything they get for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho.
Agents Pini Zahavi and Kia Joorabchian are keeping a fluid relationship between the two clubs.
Neymar doesn’t want to speak until Brazil’s participation in the Copa America is over, out of respect for his team-mates there. He’s kept a low profile in the matter until now, but soon that will change.
