Neymar’s last game for Barcelona was the Clasico in Miami in July 2017, before he joined PSG for 222 million euros. He wanted to come back in the years after but it did not happen. He has admitted it to Fenomenos Podcast.
“I tried to return to Barca, we tried everything but it was not possible,” said the forward.
Instead, Lionel Messi came to Paris. “I am very happy, the opportunity came for Leo to come here,” said Neymar. They are good friends on and off the pitch.
“I hope to make history against your Real Madrid,” said Neymar to the legendary striker Ronaldo Nazario, with PSG 1-0 up against them in the Champions League last 16 clash.
