Neymar on title race: We did our job; now the rest have to do theirs

The Brazilian, as well as Sergi Roberto and Iniesta, spoke to the media after the Atletico win

Barcelona's players were happy to secure an important win against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon, although they were cautious when talking up their chances in the title race and a comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

"We’re really satisfied, we played well and we deserved the win. We were good from the beginning until the end. It was a demanding game and we were able to keep working hard after their equaliser," Sergi Roberto commented.

For his part, Andres Iniesta remarked that the three points keep Barça in the hunt for the title: "Wins like this -- at grounds like this -- are always good. We’ve still got a chance to fight for La Liga and that’s what we will try. Now we have two games back-to-back at home and then the week after that the Champions League," the midfielder said after a win which will provide a big morale boost.

Neymar was another player to pass through the mixed zone. On the same line, the Brazilian spoke about the need to keep winning in the league without thinking about Real Madrid: "We are really happy with the win. We knew how difficult it would be -- Atletico are a great team -- but we came to win. Atletico have a good side, players with a lot of quality, but we did our job, which was to win.

"The important thing is always to win. We’re not thinking about other teams [Madrid]. We have to win always. The rest will do their work and we will leave them to do it."

Asked about the game against Paris Saint-Germain, the former Santos man added: "It’s another competition. We’re thinking about La Liga [at the moment]. Next week we will think about PSG."
