The Brazilian was prepared to stump up 20 million euros to leave PSG

Neymar's desire to force a move away from Paris Saint-Germain saw the Brazilian star make one final proposal. Sources close to the negotiations have confirmed to SPORT that he was willing to add 20 million euros of his own money to Barça's offer to help satisfy the French side. It didn't work, though, and Barça's final offer was also rejected.

It was an unusual situation. Barça were trying to close a deal worth around 130 million euros, with Ivan Rakitic and Jean Clair Todibo going the other way permanently and Ousmane Dembele moving to PSG on loan. However, PSG were not ready to drop below 150 million euros.

Neymar entered in play and said he was prepared to add the 20 million difference between the two clubs. The gesture was not accepted by PSG, who then pointed out that all the Barça players involved had not green-lighted their involvement at that stage, either.

A failed attempt. This time, not even the player's complicity was able to convince PSG to change their stance.
