Neymar Jr was presented as a PSG player and spoke about various topics during the press conference. One was Gerard Pique posting a photo in which he claimed Neymar was going to stay at Barcelona, a few days before he left.
"It was a bit of a relaxed moment, we were having lunch together,” Neymar told media at his presentation in Paris. "I told him not to do it as I hadn’t made my decision yet, but it was just a joke. He expressed his feelings and I respect that.”
He also said that he did not move to France for money, even though he will be paid around 30 million euros a year after tax.
"What I say to these people is they don't know anything about my personal life. I was never motivated by money," he said, hitting back at critics claiming he was cash-fixated.
"If I was following the money, I would be somewhere else, with other clubs in other countries. I'm really sad that people still think that way and I'm glad that PSG believe in me."
