The Senegal right-back hopes to make the first team at Camp Nou

It's not normal to see a World Cup player in the Spanish third division. Not even at Barcelona B, but the club's plans extend beyond the reserve team with Moussa Wague. The defender is thinking in the same way. His objective is to play at Camp Nou alongside his idols.

"Since I was little I dreamed of playing for Barça," he said in the mixed zone after the win over Cornella on Saturday. "I've opened the door and I will work hard to reach the first team."

Wague played 90 minutes in the weekend's 2-1. Like in Teruel, where he made his first start, he impressed. Coach Garcia Pimienta said: "He's played two really complete games, we already knew him from his time in Belgium. We're taking it slowly, but he has a big future."

Moussa Wague is a product of the Aspire Academy. From there' he went to KAS Eupen, the Belgian side associated with the Qatari academy. He made history at the World Cup when he became the youngest African to score in the competition, bagging for Senegal against Japan.

The goal showed some of the qualities which Barça liked: attacking ability and his shooting.

But he also stands out in defence, as you must as a right-back. Against Cornella, he was brilliant, stopping several counter-attacks. He has left behind the first difficult few months in Barcelona -- plagued by injury and bureaucracy problems -- and is now looking towards Camp Nou.
