Leo Messi has been withdrawn from Barcelona's squad for the game against Malaga for "personal reasons," the Catalan club say. Messi became a father for the third time earlier on Saturday,
The birth of Ciro was expected this month. Messi and his wife, Antonella Rocuzzo, confirmed the pregnancy on Oct. 16, 2017, coinciding with Mother's Day in Argentina.
Barça released a brief comment on Saturday saying that Messi would miss the game at La Rosaleda, although they didn't confirm the birth of Ciro.
Colombian defender Yerry Mina, a January signing from Palmeiras, takes the Argentine's place in the squad.
