Meeting between Yerry Mina & Valverde over defender's future
The centre-back is sitll adapting to his new surroundings in Barcelona
Barcelona defender Yerry Mina had a meeting with coach Ernesto Valverde after being left out of the squad once again.
According to the website Pasion Futbol, Mina asked for a chat with Valverde to ask about his situation after not being named in the squad for Saturday's game against Sevilla. However, Valverde's words convinced Mina.
Valverde made it clear that he feels Mina's an important player for the club, but he's still not played enough minutes to completely adapt to European football.
The Barça boss reminded Mina that Barça are competing on three fronts still and it's difficult to experiment.
During the conversation, Valverde congratulated the Colombian defender for his performances with his country in their recent friendlies and said that if he keeps working hard his chance will come.
