Malaga's Arnau a potential replacement for Barça's sporting director Robert Fernandez
After a turbulent summer, Bartomeu was looking to make changes
Things have calmed down now but Robert is not completely safe
Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez could yet face consequences for the turbulent summer which saw Neymar leave and Dembele, Deulofeu, Semedo and Paulinho arrive.
Robert has to draw up a report for president Josep Maria Bartomeu on everything that happened and the errors that were made. However, before even reading it, Bartomeu is clear who is to blame.
The club have started to look for options to replace Robert and the name with most support at the moment is Francesc Arnau, Malaga's sporting director since 2015.
Other names were on the table but it's the former goalkeeper who looks to be winning the argument.
Arnau remains an option despite the good start to the season and the performances of Semedo and Paulinho. He waits in the background, though, while Robert holds on to his job.
