The Uruguayan striker has struggled to maintain his form in Europe's premier competition and wants to rectify that this season

Luis Suarez has returned at the most important moment of the season. FC Barcelona take on Napoli for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals and the Uruguayan will lead the line. Suarez is desperate to prove he's still one of the best strikers in the world.

Injuries have hampered Suarez's impact for Barça this season after earning a reputation for being the man to turn to in the biggest matches. This year, he's missed a lot of time after an operation he had on his knee back in January. However, the coronavirus-impacted delay to the season has allowed Suarez a chance to reappear for the Champions League campaign. Despite missing 10 matches in LaLiga, he still finished fourth on the top scorers chart with 16.

HE MISSED THE FIRST LEG

Suárez wasn't able to face Napoli in the first leg due to his injury and is now keen to re-establish himself in Europe. He's one of the locker room leaders and knows how important he is to the team's chances of not only beating Napoli on Saturday, but winning the whole competition. In the two mini-training matches which took place, Suarez lined up alongside Messi in a 3-5-2 as well as next to Leo in 4-3-1-2, with Griezmann just behind the pair.

Suarez scored a brace against Inter Milan in the group stages and wants to carry that type of form into the match against Napoli. There's a feeling amongst the squad that success in the Champions League would make up for a disappointing domestic campaign. First up is ensuring they finish the job off against the Italian side. If Barça are to do that, they'll need Suarez to be at his best.
