The Barça boss says his side can turn things around against the Italian giants

"People tend to take comments straight after games very literally," he complained

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is optimistic of turning things around against Juventus after losing the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

After initially saying he didn't think a comeback was on after the cards, he had changed his mind by Friday.

"We are not going to give up, we are going to fight until the end," he said in a press conference to preview Saturday's Real Sociedad game.

"After Paris [losing 4-0 to PSG] we had a long wait, this time it is an express tie, so need to change things around quickly.

"But against PSG we were the weaker side for the whole game. Against Juve we were good in the second half, first half below what I expect, but we created chances after the break.

"You pay for defeats like that in Europe, but I still think we have a chance to turn it around."

Luis Enrique explained why his pessimism in Turin has become optimism: "People tend to take comments straight after games very literally, but they’re conditioned by what has just happened.

"I don’t know what I said, so no reason to comment on that. We’re professionals, we know things can change quickly. I have no doubt that we have a chance to turn around the tie, look what happened after Paris.

"It’s about getting back to winning ways and doing things right, starting with La Real tomorrow. Then we will think about the Champions League."
