The Argentine star confessed to America TV over his diet habits

In an interview with America TV, Lionel Messi made some very personal confessions.

The last time he cried: "I cried with joy when Mateo was born. Thiago's birth was complicated, it did not go as we hoped. Mateo's was calmer. THe news of the third was an enormous happiness for me as well."

Thiago playing: "Thiago likes football, he goes to a school in Barcelona that they made so that the kids of the players can play."

Being criticised: "At the time it affected me and the critics were bad to me. But that's over, now no (it doesn't affect me). I know they say things out of place, that have nothing to do with sport. They get involved in their private life."

Diet: "I don't know what I ate but I ate badly for many years. At 22, 23. Chocolate, alfajores (tasty South American filled biscuits), fizzy drinks. Now I eat well, fish, meat, vegetables. Everything, but in order and well. Sometimes a bit of wine, but that's not a problem. I noted a lot the change when it came to vomiting. They said it could be a lot of things, eventually I changed and it didn't happen any more."
