Christophe Galtier believes the striker will leave the French side in the summer

Christophe Galtier, Lille coach, has said publicly that he thinks it will be hard to keep Ivory Coast striker Nicolas Pepe, who is wanted by top European sides including FC Barcelona.

Despite Lille's intention to get the forward to stick around next season, Galtier knows the pressure from big teams may affect Pepe.

"Nobody will snatch Pepe. There have always been negotiations between the president and Nicolas. Conversations in which things are very clear. If we finish the season in second plae and we get into the Champions League, will Nicolas want to enjoy this new adventure with his team-mates next season?" said the coach.

"Only Nicolas can answer that question. How are you going to keep a player when he has the top European sides asking for him? It happened (they left) at Saint-Etienne with Matuidi and Aubameyang."
