L'Equipe: Griezmann is going through one of his hardest times
The French paper looked at the Barca striker's position after his Clasico benching
Antoine Griezmann is going through a bad time at Barcelona and French newspaper L'Equipe looked into it. They published an analysis of his situation and wondered whether it was a mistake for him to sign for Barcelona.
"The degradation of Griezmann has been confirmed," said the newspaper. "The Frenchman is going through one of his hardest times since his debut for Real Sociedad 10 years ago.
"Until he arrived at Barca in 2019, Griezmann's trajectory has always been on the way up. With the Blaugrana, the world champion, 29, is only a shadow of himself."
They note that he did not start the Clasico and Koeman is not keen on him. Pedri was in his place, while Trincao played on the right in the game against Ferencvaros in the UCL.
"That's a big snub for a player like him, even if he can calm himself as the young midfielder did not do better than him on the right flank.
"He will start to think he didn't make a great decision by signing for Barca."
