Juventus pushing hard for Ajax and Holland's De Ligt
'Tuttosport' claim the Italians are ready to assume his 50 million euro price tag
You get the sensation that Barcelona have left it too late for De Ligt. From being an almost unknown when the club had things under control, to 'breaking out' to the point that Europe's biggest clubs are all chasing him.
And that means tough competition for Barça. Juventus are well positioned in the fight for the Holland international and are ready to make a move for him.
Reports in Tuttosport say that the Serie A side are happy to assume the 50 million euro price tag which Ajax have slapped on the player.
Juve's ageing backline -- Bonucci is now 31 and Chiellini is 34 -- means they're looking for fresh blood. Mino Raiola could even play a role in the deal.
In any case, Juve don't want to miss out on De Ligt and Barça have some strong rivals for his signature.
