Junior Firpo deal getting complicated for Barcelona
Betis want too much money for the left back, by Barcelona's reckoning
Barcelona have, as an absolute priority, a left-back on their transfers in list. One of the objectives is Junior Firpo, although the operation is very complicated. Betis are asking for more money than the Catalans want to play and for now there’s no agreement. If that doesn’t get resolved in the coming hours then he may become a back-up option.
Barcelona rate Junior’s potential but don’t want to overpay in a summer in which they have already spent a lot of money.
Barca are also tracking Augsburg’s Philipp Max, who would be available for a more reasonable price. The max Barca want to spend is 20 million euros - Betis want 30m for Firpo.
