Jorge Messi, Leo's father and agent, is expected in Barcelona on Sunday
Messi is expected to meet with Barça officials to discuss his son's departure from the club
Jorge Messi, the father and agent of FC Barcelona captain Leo Messi, is expected to arrive in Barcelona on Sunday. This is according to Verónica Brunati who posted the news on her official Twitter account (@verobrunati).
Jorge Messi has been speaking with Barça, and in particular Josep Maria Bartomeu, about the crisis surrounding the club following his son Leo's decision to leave.
Following the 8-2 humiliation against Bayern Munich, Barça sacked Quique Setien and appointed Ronaldo Koeman to replace him.

Bartomeu announced the squad would be overhauled this summer and Koeman must decide which players should stay and which should go. Not soon after those comments, Messi met with Koeman and repeated his desire to play elsewhere next season.
The two sides appear deadlocked regarding Messi's future. The player and his entourage believe he's able to activate the clause which means he can leave free of charge. Barça, in contrast, believe the clause has already expired and Messi will only leave if a team deposits his €700m buyout clause. Manchester City and PSG are ready to test Barcelona's resolve.
Jorge Messi will hope to smooth over the situation and Leo is expected to reveal his hand at some point soon too.
With Bartomeu offering to resign if Leo commits his future to Barça, the appearance of Jorge could advance matters. The plan is for an agreement to be made which sees the Barça captain either leave in 2021 or lay out the details of a possible move away this summer.
