Jordi Cruyff, in favour of Neymar returning to Barcelona
In an El Pais article the Chongqing Dangdai Lifan coach backed the Brazilian winger
Under a headline reading "I bet on Neymar", Jordi Cruyff, the current coach of Chongqing Dangdai Lifan, wrote in El Pais his argument for the Brazilian PSG winger to return to Camp Nou.
Cruyff said that Neymar "has exceptional quality" and in this case "he's a clear case of a footballer who is a differential, one of the five most special (in the world)."
He acknowledges that Neymar's return could be controversial.
"I understand the reaction of the fans who are still hurt by the moment he left and how he did it," added Cruyff. "But I am a defender of second chances."
He says that because Neymar knows the fans, the club, the team, he's only "a small risk" and that his bad campaign with PSG is "extra motivation".
Although his father Johan said that "two hens can't live in the same cage", Neymar showed "in his previous era there's no ego problem."
