Jordi Alba praised the togetherness and attitude of Barcelona's players after they beat Real Sociedad 2-1 on Wednesday at Camp Nou.
"The best performance of the season for desire and attitude," he said. "We were all together and I saw a Barça side desperate to play really well. We fought for every ball like it was the last and knew how to suffer.
"The attitude was fundamental. We were playing against a great team and we wanted to play really well and win the game. In the first half we had more of the ball and played better, but in the second half we knew how to hold on.
"Real Sociedad are one of the best teams in the league and this win should give us confidence to keep picking up points and fighting for La Liga until the end."
Alba scored Barça's first goal and set up the second for Frenkie de Jong.
He added: "I am happier when I assist than when I score, but goals like the one I scored today come off one time in 50."
