Joan Laporta seals Georginio Wijnaldum signing for Barca
The Sunday Times claimed the Barca chief put the finishing touches on the move
The speculation is mounting over what Barcelona’s squad will look like next season. Ronald Koeman may well get a player he wants in Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. Per the Sunday Times, everything is tied up for him to move to Catalonia for free in the summer.
They say that the Dutchman and Barca have a total agreement. Joan Laporta is reported to have settled the pre-agreement with the Dutchman, 30.
Wijnaldum was linked to Barca last summer but did not come, or sign a new contract with Liverpool.
Koeman is a big fan from the Dutch national team. Wijnaldum came from Newcastle in 2016 for 28 million euros and has been key for Klopp since. He has played 40 games this season, scoring three goals.
