Joan Laporta: Let's see if Ousmane Dembele has a rethink
The French winger can leave for any club he likes at the end of the season for free
Barcelona have work to do in the Ousmane Dembele case. On the pitch, he’s shown he’s impossible. A goal and two assists against Athletic as a substitute.
Dembele did not renew his deal in January but Xavi still wants him and wants to use him.
On Monday at the Mobile World Congress president Joan Laporta spoke about the winger and left to door open to him staying.
“Dembele knows our proposal and we’ve always wanted him to stay, we’ll see if at the end of the season he thinks about it again,” he said, per SER.
The Frenchman is in Paris, with three and a half days off.
Laporta also spoke about Pedri, who was in fine fettle against Athletic. “Pedri is called to become one of the best players in the world, if not the best, but he knows that he has to work a lot.”
