There is good feeling between Xavi Hernandez and Ousmane Dembele
The pair are getting along well, much to the surprise of others at the club
In the dressing room they are a little surprised by how well Xavi and Ousmane Dembele are getting along. What happened in the winter window has not affected their relationship. If anything, it has grown.
Xavi is alert to the Frenchman’s needs, something he’s missed since arriving four and a half seasons ago. Xavi is on top of the situation, Dembele’s physical condition, the parameters he needs to work within to avoid injuries, minutes, and everything like that. And Ousmane is tremendously grateful for that attention from the coach.
For that reason, he says that his desire is to stay and renew his deal, something the sports department is not sure about after the disappointments of winter. We are at the end of February now and there’s a lot of time left for them to come to an agreement. Let’s see what happens.
