The Ajax captain is expected to secure a transfer away from the club in the summer with Juventus, PSG and Barça all interested in him

Ajax defender, Matthijs de Ligt, has spoke about his future again following his side's latest victory in the Dutch league. He's been linked with a move to Juventus recently, this not long after Barcelona were said to be after his signature, and De Ligt spoke to the media about the latest developments.

When the defender was asked whether he was close to signing a contract with Juventus, De Ligt's response was clear and honest. "Throughout the year I've heard rumours and information about me, on this topic. You do understand that if I had to come out and deny every rumour, I'd never stop."

"All I can say is that all these rumours are making me laugh and the majority of what is written is wrong," added De Ligt. "The rumours only appear in newspapers and I'm only trying to focus on Ajax. It's always gone well but now we've suffered a few unexpected defeats. Now, more than ever, it's important to focus on the match against Real Madrid in the Champions League."
