It's official: Dembele is named in Barça's squad for Lyon game
FC Barcelona have revealed their squad list for the last 16 clash in the Champions League and the French winger's name is on it
Ousmane Dembélé's name is on FC Barcelona's squad list for the last 16 tie against Lyon in the Champions League. Ernesto Valverde made everybody wait until the last minute before confirming Dembele's inclusion.
After feeling some discomfort following the match against Rayo Vallecano, Dembele was considered a major doubt for the second leg of the Champions League contest. However this Tuesday afternoon the French winger trained as normal alongside his teammates. Valverde had earlier said that Dembele would only be included if he was in top condition.
Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha remain out through long term injuries. Jeison Murillo and Kevin Prince Boateng are on the 20 man list but both are likely to be in the stands should Dembele be good enough to play.
Here is the squad list in full:
Goalkeepers: Ter Stegen and Cillessen.
Defenders: Semedo, Piqué, Lenglet, Murillo, Umtiti and Jordi Alba.
Midfielders: Sergi Roberto, Busquets, Arthur, Rakitic, Arturo Vidal, Aleñá and Coutinho.
Forwards: Messi, Luis Suárez, Malcom, Dembélé and Prince.
