Arthur regrets his decision to attend Neymar's birthday party
The player admits he made a mistake by joining his fellow countryman's celebrations two days before El Clasico
Arthur Melo attended the pre-match press conference ahead of FC Barcelona's match against Lyon in the last 16 of the Champions League. The Brazilian spoke for the first time about his decision to fly out for Neymar Junior's birthday party two days before the Copa Clasico against Real Madrid. Arthur ended up getting injured in that match.
The football admitted he made an error by going to the party and regretted his decision. "I believe I made a mistake by going to the party. I was excited about it but I must take responsibility (for my actions). I knew what i was doing but I apologise if I upset anybody. My teammates have helped me."
Neymar
Arthur also spoke about the future of his friend Neymar, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. "It is his and his family's decision. As a friend, I wish him the best and I don't know what he'll choose: whether he'll stay in Paris or join another club."
