Intercity vs. Barcelona: Lewandowski & Pedri rest as Copa squad named
Xavi has handed a breather to the two players with Atletico to come on Sunday
FC Barcelona will start their adventure in this season's Copa del Rey on Wednesday (9:00 p.m.) with a visit to the Rico Pérez stadium to face Intercity, a team from the Primera División RFEF.
After closing 2022 with a draw in the derby against Espanyol (1-1) on December 31, Xavi's men want to open 2023 with a win.
They start their participation in the Copa del Rey in the round of 32 against Intercity, a team that left Mirandés behind in the previous round.

Goalkeeper Iñaki Peña has finally entered the squad in the end. 'Tot Costa' explained on Tuesday morning that he could not play in the Copa del Rey as he has a registration with the B team and is over 23 years of age, but Barça are working on fixing the issue.
Robert Lewandowski and Pedri are left off the list, handed a rest by coach Xavi Hernandez.
