Theo Hernandez is close to Barcelona all the time. Talks about the Atletico Madrid defender's future have advanced in the last few days, to the point that Barça are in a position to leave Real Madrid without the player.
Diario AS say that the Blaugrana's offer is better than Madrid's and is what has tipped the balance in their favour. They add that Theo will be offered a six-year deal at Camp Nou which could be worth almost 45 million euros.
It's an amount Madrid would not go to. Los Blancos were only willing to go as high as 36 million euros.
AS also say that Theo and his agent, Manuel García Quilón, are more open, as things stand, to the offer from Barcelona than Madrid.
What is certain is that Barça are continuing their search for young defenders, with Colombian Davinson Sanchez also a target.
