The French forward is keeping Coutinho out of Barça's side

Ousmane Dembele has finished the year in fine style, moving the talk about his lateness onto his performances on the pitch.

Against Celta Vigo on Saturday, he scored his fourth goal in his last six league games, firing home on the rebound after Ruben Blanco had saved Lionel Messi's shot to open the scoring.

Dembele was decisive in Vallecas, scoring the equaliser as Barça came from behing to beat Rayo 3-2 late on -- Luis Suarez scored the winner.

His late goal then earned a point in the 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid, while he was also on target in the 4-0 win over Espanyol at Cornella-El Prat.

During the same period of time, he also scored a stunning goal in the Champions League win draw with Tottenham.

The French forward has lifted his level since being left out of the squad for the Real Betis loss. As things stand, he's a regular in Ernesto Valverde's side, with Philippe Coutinho unable to break into the XI.
