Griezmann's first words as Barça player: Excitement, Messi, Dembele & Big Sam

Barcelona's latest signing Antoine Griezmann arrived in the city on Sunday and made his first comments since joining the club.

The Frenchman assured that he will try to do "the best possible," that he's been "really looking forward to coming" and that "playing alongside Lionel Messi will be a huge pleasure." 

In comments to Barça TV, Griezmann said: "I will try to do the best possible in this new stage of my career, I want to do big things because the club's objectives are the same as mine. I hope I can achieve them here." 

He added: "I was really looking forward to coming here. I am really happy, really hungry [to do well]." On Messi, he commented that "I am excited about seeing him, I am really happy to be here." 

Griezmann also said that "I'm really excited to see Ousmane [Dembele] and Sam [Umtiti], I have a great relationship with them, I hope to have a lot of success with them both."

Griezmann, who will be officially presented on Sunday, also commented that "Barça are a great club, I will try to help make them even greater. I'm excited to play at Camp Nou and I hope I can win a lot of things." 

Finally, he said: "I am a player that enjoys himself on the pitch and also in the dressing room. I hope I can bring a lot of joy to my new teammates and to the fans."
