In order to comply with LaLiga rules the Barça squad must take their third and final test ahead of the new season

On Monday morning there will be a lot going on at the Ciudad Deportiva del Fútbol Club Barcelona. The players were given a day off on Sunday but will need to undergo another round of PCR tests on Monday before the afternoon training session.

This will be the third and final test for the first-team squad as they comply with LaLiga's protocols.

As revealed by SPORT, the three tests must be passed in the first eight days into preseason. The first round of testing took place on the 30th August, the second on the 3rd September and the last will be on Monday.

After the third test, and before Barça begin on the 3rd gameweek, they must continue to be tested but only on a weekly basis. Tomorrow will also see the players involved with their respective national teams join up with the rest of the squad.

Lionel Messi's situation is slightly different. Monday will be his first test and, as such, he will be required to take another two tests before he's allowed to join up with the main group.
