Xavi Hernandez is expected to make a number of changes to the starting eleven

FC Barcelona kickstart their Champions League campaign this season at Camp Nou later tonight (Wednesday 21:00) against Viktoria Plzen, champions of the Czech Republic, in the first matchday of Group C, the group of death.

Xavi Hernández's Barça has a complete squad at his disposal, with the signings of Héctor Bellerín and Marcos Alonso taken care of.

He is expected to make various rotations given the intensity of the schedule.

Christensen, De Jong and Ferran Torres are likely to feature in the starting line-up having missed out on the last two games, against Valladolid (4-0) and Sevilla (0-3).

Barça want to get back to winning ways in Europe after the dreadful show in the last edition against Bayern Munich.

The Czech Republic champions qualified for the group stage after three qualifying rounds and visit the Spotify Camp Nou after beating Slovan Liberec 1-0 on matchday seven of the Czech League.

Michal Bílek's side have won four and drawn once in all competitions this season, with only Peksa missing from the squad.
