Miralem Pjanic is no longer training with Barça
The Bosnian, with the club's permission, has taken leave from training with the team.
FC Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández led another training session this morning at the Tito Vilanova training ground with all the available players ahead of the Champions League opener.
The big absentee from the session was Miralem Pjanic, who has travelled to the Emirates with the club's approval.
The Bosnian is likely to play for Sharjah FC.
The midfielder's contract is being considered for termination and the club are keen to continue reducing the wage bill.
Barça will host Viktoria Plzen at Camp Nou in the first Champions League group stage match. Xavi's side were drawn in Group C alongside Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and the Czech side.
Xavi's men have been working with their sights set on that match, which will be played on Wednesday 7 September at Camp Nou. It will be the opening game of the 2022/2023 edition of the Champions League.
