Everton want to sign Barca loan star Andre Gomes
The club's sporting director confirmed the Toffees' desire to make the deal permanent
Everton want to sign Andre Gomes in June, after his fine start to life in the Premier League. The Portuguese midfielder is on loan from Barca after they accepted a 2.2m euro offer for him last summer.
Now Everton's sporting director Marcel Brands has confirmed to Tuttosport that they want to make the move permanent.
"He has adapted well, he's a good boy, sociable," siad the director of the player who is now a world away from his misery at Barca.
"He's always seemed like a great player to me and I am very happy he is with us. Our objective is to sign him and rescue him from Barcelona."
Gomes is on loan until the end of the season without an option to buy built into the deal. Coach Marco Silva would also like Gomes to stay and said so this week.
