Disciplined Ivan Rakitic improves during Levante clash
The midfielder came into the game more as it went along
Ivan Rakitic was back in the starting XI after being a sub against Valencia last week. He started quietly but improved against the Valencian side as the game went along.
The Croatian played at left central midfield and was more comfortable in attack than in defence. Rakitic seems out of place in Setien's schemes and did not get involved at first. Eventually he started to help Ansu Fati and Jordi Alba.
He had a shot over after 22 minutes where he might have done better. However after he improved he fed Semedo well, who crossed and Griezmann should have scored but missed.
After the break he did well, linking with Busquets, and going forward more after Frenkie de Jong was replaced by Arthur. He had another effort late on that Aitor Fernandez saved easily enough.
