Denis Suarez and Rafinha Alcantara divide Valencia
Marcelino's absolute priority is to bring in Denis, but Alemany prefers Rafinha
The relationship between Denis Suarez and Marcelino Garcia Toral is long. The Galician has always said Marcelino is his favourite coach and the Valencia gaffer has always been able to get the most out of him.
However at Los Che, director general Mateu Alemany believes the better option is Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, who would cost a lot less than Denis Suarez. He's pressing Denis to accept a lowering of the salary by 3m euros from what he earns at Barcelona. Denis is willing to take a cut, but not one that heavy.
Rafinha is liked by Marcelino too, but Alemany loves him - because of his injury history, Rafinha would have to accept a lot less money and would be in theory a better deal for Valencia. It's not ruled out that both could end up signing either.
