The Arthur Melo situation has not been easy for FC Barcelona. He signed Juventus at the end of June but was due to remain at Camp Nou until the end of the season.

However, upon the conclusion of the league campaign, he decided to return to Brazil and stay there, telling Barça he would not return for the Champions League this month.

Arthur, who didn't play a single minute after the Juve move was announced, feels the club weren't fair with him, while the club are set to fine him for his actions.

It has been difficult for the dressing room to deal with and midfielder Frenkie de Jong has spoken to SPORT about the "sad" events which have led to the Brazilian's exile.

"It's sad," De Jong said. "The situation is difficult for everyone, for the club, for Arthur, for the players. I don't know the details or why it reached this point, though, so it's difficult to give my opinion."
