Luis Suarez was picked in Coutinho's ideal team

There was also a place for Brazil teammate Neymar

Liverpool playmaker Phillippe Coutinho gave a wink to Barcelona in an interview with Soccer AM.

The Brazil international was asked to pick his ideal five-a-side team of players he has played with. He chose to include a goalkeeper, a defender, a midfielder and two forwards.

First of the two forwards to be named in his side was Neymar, who left Barça for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

"He's not a bad player," Coutinho said, understated. "Neymar's one of the best now in the world and I played with him many times because we used to be together in the national team under-15s, 16s, 17s... he always was different.

"I think he will win the Ballon d'Or one day, for sure. He is the best technical player I have played with. He is very skillful and in training you see no space, maybe five players against him, and then in one movement he's free."

WINK FOR BARÇA

Barça striker Luis Suarez was the next attacker to make Coutinho's side. The two played together at Liverpool before the Uruguayan moved to Camp Nou in 2014.

"He is top player," Coutinho said of Suarez. "I think maybe the word they use is a 'killer' in front of the goal. If he has a chance he scores a goal.

"I played with a lot [of strikers] and I think he's the best one. He doesn't miss and also he fights a lot and that's great. He is really nice off the pitch, too, a family guy who helped me a lot when I arrived to Liverpool."

In goal, Coutinho chose Benfica's Julio César, who he played with at Inter when he first moved to Europe.

Then, in defence, is his compatriot Lucio, while he chose Dutch international Wesley Sneijder to be his super sub.

CapTAIN Gerrard

The midfield role is reserved for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who Coutinho also chose to wear the captain's armband in his side.

As for the manager, he picked current Brazil coach Tite. Here is the video of the interview:
