The Brazilian is still recovering from a pre-international break injury

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has named his squad for the game against Atletico Madrid on Saturday, with Philippe Coutinho not deemed fit to return to action yet.

Midfielder Denis Suarez has also been left out of the 18 man squad for technical reasons, but Ousmane Dembele is back.

The squad is: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Semedo, Piqué, Busquets  (who will make his 500th Barca appearance), Arthur, Luis Suárez, Messi, Dembélé, Rafinha, Malcom, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Arturo Vidal, Umtiti and Aleñá.

Coutinho returned to training this week and there was talk he could make the squad but Valverde said he doesn't want to take risks. The Brazilian could feature against PSV in midweek in the Champions League.

As well as Coutinho and Denis, injured duo Thomas Vermaelen and Sergi Samper also miss out, while Ivan Rakitic is suspended. The Croatian also returned from international duty with a hamstring problem, but trained on Friday.
