Chelsea's dressing room took the Champions League draw against Barcelona very well. The Blues were already mentally prepared to be drawn against the Catalans and the result of the draw did not take them by surprise. Their reaction was that of a competitive team. The team feels strong and confident of defeating Ernesto Valverde's side. The dressing room thinks that "it will be very open, but we feel prepared to fight to go through".
Coach Antonio Conte has helped create a very mentally strong side. He has convinced his team to fight with Europe's giants after the disappointing campaign under Mourinho two years ago. Conte won the Premier League in his first year, although the Blues came second in their group, they still knocked out Atletico Madrid.
Despite the confidence in the dressing room, the Blues will be thinking about one man - Lionel Messi. Conte will have to press him heavily with N'Golo Kante and Timeoue Bakayoko key in shutting down the Argentine.
