The Argentine forward suffered in his last season at Man City with just six goals and one assist in 20 games. At 33, does he still fit in the top bracket of strikers? He has won a huge amount of titles since arriving in England and he wants more.

GIVE KOEMAN OPTIONS

The coach lost Antoine Griezmann and Martin Braithwaite, while Ansu Fati is only just returning. Memphis Depay and Luuk de Jong have been playing up front but Aguero can give Koeman new options and strategies.

They were great friends and a big part of the reason Aguero came was to play with Leo. It never happened. “I told my agent I didn’t care about the money, make it happen,” Aguero said of his move to Barça. Hopefully, he gets those good feelings back and can be crucial for the Catalans.
