Barcelona want more than 55m euros a year for shirt sponsorship
The economic vice president named the price sponsors will have to pay the club
Barcelona and Rakuten’s relationship is coming to an end. The club are looking for a new sponsor and Eduard Romeu, the economic vice-president spoke to TV3.
“Whoever wants to put their name on Barça’s shirt will have to pay,” he said, confirming Barcelona wanted at least 55m euros a season for the privilege.
“We are looking for the value we had before the pandemic, we have to surpass it,” he said. Rakuten payments dipped to 30m euros with the Covid outbreak.
He also confirmed the club has 20 million euros to spend in the winter window. “We can use that margin to sign players for the positions the technical team decides,” he said.
