The Monaco midfielder is confident that Leo will stay at the club until he's retired

Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas, formerly of Barcelona and Chelsea, says that Lionel Messi will not leave Barcelona at the end of the season. Messi is allowed to leave the club at the end of the season because of the terms of his contract and he has had some problems with the board recently. Messi and Fabregas are close friends.

"I speak with Messi, his idea has always been to end his career at Barcelona," said Fabregas in an interview with Cadena Cope. "Later a thousand things can happen at the club but I'm very confident that he will end his career at Barcelona."

The player's great grandfather, 95, caught coronavirus but is doing well. "He's fine, stable and in good spirits. Despite being 95 years old he's reacting well. He's still in the home because at that age they don't allow many in the hospitals."
