Xavi Hernandez agrees a 40 per cent salary cut
The midfielder is losing out on some of his wage because of coronavirus
Xavi Hernandez has agreed on a salary cut with Al Sadd of around 40 per cent, per AS. The coach wanted to take a step forward and help out in the new economic reality and has agreed on this figure with the club while competitions are on hold.
The coach is not the only one at the club who has seen his salary affected, with players in the squad also having a reduction - just like in major leagues across the world.
The federation there is planning to return to normal on April 30 but that date could easily be extended.
