Sevilla's director of football confirms that Barcelona will pay Lenglet's buyout clause and doesn't rule out a bid for Vidal

Sevilla's director of football, Joaquin Caparros, spoke to Onda Cero's 'El Transitor' radio programme to talk about signings, sales, Clement Lenglet and everything going on at the club this summer.

He confirmed Lenglet's departure. "It looks that way, yes. We haven't had official confirmation from the league but it appears like it'll happen. We didn't want to sell Lenglet and they're going to pay his buyout clause. What we wanted was for him to sign a new contract here but when a powerful club makes an offer for someone, there's always a chance they could leave."

Caparros also spoke about arrivals at Sevilla. "We've signed Vaclik and Amadou. We also exercised our right to make Roque's (Mesa) move to the club permanent. We're going to sign three or four more players that we are already in advanced talks with. Let's see once the World Cup is over if things return to normal. We will bring players in to reinforce and improve what was already a good squad. In a few days we'll complete all of our work for this summer."

When asked about the possibility of Aleix Vidal returning to Sevilla, he said: "He's one of many we've looked at. We've got good cover in that position with Corchia and Navas."

Caparros said his relationship with new coach Pablo Machin is "very good" and that they're in constant communication with each other. "He's going to support everyone and create a good squad. I've put myself in the skin of the coach and I've advised him about what he needs to bring to the team, primarily to improve the group. Time is very important in football and we have less than most because we have to start competing very early."
